Hi all,
My Wife has been left a couple of times where the car will not lock itself. 'hatchback open appears now and again when driving along.
I have removed the inner boot lid trim board, to reveal the connecters etc.
Now for the headache.
Last night I disconnected connectors A, and B. (See attached). This de-activated the boot lid. Great I thought, get by for now with the key. Sure enough there was a warning when lights were on that the number plate lights were out... fair enough..
However, today wife went out, still with A and B off, and said it flashed up 'hatchback open' again. So...
I plugged all back in, opened boot lid, turned ignition on all doors except boot shut. 'hatchback open' appears as you would expect. I now remove the lock as there is a wire there that i didn't see (C on attach). I unplugged this, message is still there (I would guess this is the power for the lock motor?). Now i plugged back in and unplugged 'B'. 'Hatchback open' disappears. I will now try and see what happens, but im sure i tried this before, and the message still flickers sometimes...
HELP please!!! Just knowing what each cable does would be a help, but no haynes manual or service manual... Thanks in advance.
