Hi Guys,
A little off my original thread but have the opportunity to strip spares from a 4 door jtd stilo for very little.
I pretty much can have everything in exception of the engine but wondered what spares are interchangeable with my multiwagon.

I'm grabbing the instruments panel for sure, wheels.
Are the brake calipers all the same across the jtd range? How about suspension arms, springs etc? I presume the rear is different? Are the front doors the same as may nick door switches and degunk them.
Probebrly grab the steering cowl and retrofit cruise if mine has the loom.

Any other parts you can suggest I grab? Would be nice to have a collection of bits just in Case etc.

Thanks

Reuben

The majority of parts are the same across the range. I've expect the majority of all the stuff up front and the running gear to be completely the same. The wagon rear running gear may be slightly different.

Re suspension arms - I personally wouldn't bother. There is no point wasting your time with second hand bushes when new ones are so cheaply and readily available.

The best way to check if stuff is the same or not - ePer. It's the electronic parts catalogue which the forum hosts a version of. You can look up the part you're interested in and check the part numbers. Of course if the part number is the same you're winning.

As Artermis says, "The majority of parts are the same across the range".

Apart from the obvious rear bodywork, rear lights, rear screen wiper and rear interior trim, all I can think of that's different between the MW and 5 door saloon versions is:

Rear hubs and wheel bearings.
Rear shock absorbers.
Rear springs.
Rear seats.
Front shock absorbers and springs may be a different pressure/tension.

I'm not sure about the side doors. The MW body is 4.5cm higher than the saloon. I've never had a saloon to see where that difference is accounted for. Perhaps it's just the MW roof bars.

MW side glass is tinted green, I don't think the saloons are.

Depending on what month/year both cars are:

Front brake discs, pads and calipers were bigger on later versions. (Rear discs, pads and calipers are the same for all Stilos).
There are three different designs of front suspension wishbones.
MW handbrake cables are slightly longer.
MW rear silencer is longer.

Ah i said suspension arms but meant struts. Wouldnt use second hand arms to be fair.

Little list so far
Glove box Lid,
Instrument cluster
Brake calipers
Internal switches etc if they match.
Front struts and springs
