Hey all, my USB stick has began to fail (the Blue&Me module is fine) and I'm just wondering what USBs you recommend for the Blue&Me module?

I've tried other USBs but I believe they're a too large capacity, as they don't get recognised by the car at all after being formatted to Fat32, the only one that worked was a 2gb stick I had laying around which I forgot had been failing recently. Is there a max recommended size for the Blue&Me system?

On my 2013 car l use a 32Gb drive which I believe is the maximum size it can handle. I would expect an older car to take at least a 16Gb. 🙃

I tried a 16gb stick I had laying around, but it didn't work at all! My 2gb stick worked perfectly (until it failed independently), so I'm trying to figure out which one I need so I can buy it. It's not that important because I have made some CDs with my music, but then I realised what was wrong with my music setup on the USB and now I love the functionality.

Sorry, I was mistaken; I've been using a 16Gb since 2013 (with about 80 albums recorded on it). Further checking on the forum suggests 8Gb may be the limit for a 2010 car. 4-8Gb are quite cheap now so it might be worth picking up a new 4 or 8Gb and testing that to confirm your system is working. As you probably know the music has to be in the root directory but mine are each in their individual album folders. I use the FIAT Tomtom satnav to select tracks - I don't know if that makes a difference.🙃

I'll try that, thanks.

I picked up a program to format the music correctly on the USB (cost me a few pounds), but it works great. It reads the tags I set on the tracks and sorts them automatically for me.

Also check out Foobar2000.

The learning curve is a little steep, but it's formidably powerful for transcoding and retagging music - and it's freeware!
I used mp3tag to add the tags to all the files, then a small program called BluMeUsb to actually format the files into a readable form for the car. Worked great! (until my usb died lol)
