Technical USB/Aux ports, how are they connected to the uConnect unit?

I want to connect a music player the the uConnect headunit but (for a cleaner look) I prefer not to use the aux port in the center console.
So I'm wondering if it would be possible to connect an aux lead directly to the headunit?
(2016 Lounge with uConnect 5 satnav headunit)
