I've bought a Bluetooth adapter for my 500 stock head unit. It comes with an aux plug for the rear of the head unit and 12v+/-

I've successfully connected the aux plug and it clicks in to place. I also pushed the 12v wires into the black/ red-green pins and the little box flashes blue and I can sync ok.

But when I hit the CD button is just says "no source available".

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

What type radio do you have Blaupunkt or the newer Bosch ? Are you pressing the cd button twice?

Mine is like this. Nothing happens when I press the CD button twice if a CD is in. If I press it with no CD in it says no source available

If your radio has Bosch on it then it won't work, I'm led to believe

I read elsewhere that shorting the data pins works, and that did, but the sound quality is terrible.

I'm just going to forget the whole thing, wife doesn't use streaming anyway.
