tonight on my way home i pulled into my garage turned the ignition off engine turned off as normal i took the key out and the ignition was still on like it would be after you have turned the key on the first click. i have done nothign differant than usual with it!! it wasnt like this easlier either.

last week when i was out my insturment pannel stopped working, lights stayed on but speedo revs milage and petrol and heater dials wasnt working. i chancged the fuse for it straight away and it as fine, the day after i went to indecate left and it wasnt lighting up on the dash to tell me i was indecatated but the right indecator did! it still clicked as though it was working ( tick tick tick tick ) but the lights on the outisde stayed lit orange.

tonight i checked the fuses for the ignition but all was fine so i took out all fuses one by one and found that the fuses for, heated rear window, cigartee lighter, sunroof, was blown also the fuse from my aftermarket toad alarm ( seperate loom) the fuse for the hazard lights to flash was all blown.

to fix my ignition staying on problem i had to take out fuse A14 for the hazzard lights and it went off!

does any body know what this could be it has to me linked some hown to the indecator/hazzard light some how!!!!!!

i dont want to be takein the fuse in and out every journey i make!

cheers paul!

sounds like this could be a problem with the ignition switch itself. Try squirting some switch cleaner around ignition switch, might be a cheap cure. If not, change the ignition switch, (Put your own barrel in so you can use your own key)

ok... just try this for me.

Take your radio out... dissconnect the ISO plug completly from the uni and the remote amp wire to.

Might seem a strange request but I had this problem with a Saab 93 where the radio was keeping the car running!!

worth a try :)
