Technical Upgrade the B fuel system

I have been looking into injectors for KC tonight and have found that the B has Magneti Marelli IWP Fuel Injectors:

Barchetta Marelli IWP006 226cc/min 5Bar 14.5ohm split stream 16 deg

The 16v Coupe turbo has 384cc stock injectors so my question is could you not swap them over?

If you look at the link above you will see that you can buy a set of:

Marelli IWP043 330 cc/min5 bar 14.5 ohm Single spray 20 deg.

I have not looked into the fuel pump stats to see if it could keep up so does anyone know?

The B fuel is set at 3.5 Bar stock but the injectors will run at 5.0 bar max so by fitting a Power fuel boost valve (Link) it will let you go from 3.5 Bar - 4.2 Bar.

Looks like your fuel regulater would be a good mod,

Having my B on the rollers tonight indicated that i was not getting enough fuel pressure from my pump, Now i dont know if it is faulty or just simply not powerful enough to cater for the remap.

From the specifications you gave me of the injectors, Red dot was able to calculate that they are good upto 173bhp before maxing out.

I,m not mechanicly minded enough to say wether upgrading them would be best, but certainly more fuel pressure was needed in my circumstance.

Getting some more B's on the rollers on sunday would be a good indicater of the fuel pumps output.

Or some specs on the pump would help. would you know if mine is in the tank or not.

173BHP out of OEM injectors is OK but you want to run injectors at 85% of max so it looks like new injectors will be on the card at some point.

I know that the turbo Bs had new injectors fitted but nothing about the fuel pump being changed. !?!

It could be that your pump needs a good clean KC.
