Updating blue and me in linea

I am from india. i have recently bought a fiat linea. i see from fiat forum that 5.4 version of blue and me is released which has improved the compatibility of nokia phones. I have a few queries can some one answer me please

How can i find out what is the current version of blue and me installed in my vehicle?

Do i have to take it to my dealer to update blue and me or can i have it done as a DIY procedure? If yes can some one direct me to the steps of updating the blue and me?

Please some one do answer!!

You can download the update from http://195.88.6.195/test/download/blue&me/5.4.09%20Update%20Package%20Signed.zip

Once downloaded you need to unzip it to the root of a clean USB drive. Insert it into your B&M USB port. Then move your key to the MAR position (Power on but no engine).

Wait about 10-15 minutes with the car like this until B&M announces "UPDATE COMPLETE" and then remove.

If you remove the USB stick prematurely your B&M will be corrupted and you may or may not be able to recover from this by re inserting.

Thanks for the link to the update, do u know how to check to see what version is already installed in the car??

I only ask because my car is only a week old and i'm not sure if i have this version or not?

Unfortunately, you cannot check the version. Just install the update. Even if you install it 5 times, it won’t do any harm in the system.

....what happens after 6 times does tha car implode!!!???

I updated and my SE C905 still can't answer calls through blue and me, guess i'll just have to wait for a new update...whenever that'll be!

That aside i still love the car and all the features so can't really knock it.

I'll keep hunting for a solution.....

Have updated the normal blue and me and sony ericcson patch. works like charm. thanks for all the help. i give a go ahead for all people from india to update their blue and me in their respective puntos and lineas.

By the by does any one know where i can get the ipod blue and me adapted? can you referme to any site or person who can ship me
