Sometime ago I contacted this site regarding the overheating and wildly fluctuating temperature gauge on my Weekend TD100. I eventually discovered that it was due to a fractured radiator right on the base of the unit that was impossible to see under normal circumstances. Presumably any leak was evaporated by the heat of the radiator so was not visible. The only indiaction ws that the header tank level dropped below the min mark every time I filled it making me initially think that the head gasket was at fault. It only became obvious what the problem was when the radiator developed a leak in the middle.
Any ideas on the following. Sometimes when I have changed down into second and then go on to a light throttle I get a power surge as if I have pressed the throttle down a long way quickly. It doesnt cause me any problems at present but I would be interested if this is a common fault or an indication of further problems in the future.
