Up to date comments about the Wii!!

Looking for peoples opinions on the Wii, now that its been out for several months.

Im considering buying one next month, as i have a hunch that they will drop in price to try and keep sales up with the release of the ps3. Does the novelty wear off, or is the Wii loads of fun all the time as long as you have the games and accessories to keep you amused?

i dont se big wii price drops.they are aiming at different markets completely though ninty are probably in a far better position to drop prices out of the 3 main players

I like the Wii loads, I love the virtual console and the whole idea behind it, but I wouldn't own one as my only console.

Done a "wii" search on the internet last night and rumour is price drop.

exactly that,a rumour
as of now ninty is holding its own on sales vs the other two.
they will hold out as long as possible to recoup as much R&D money as possible in a small time frame.
although as ive said they can do a cut since its just a souped up GC so costs are low.
i would shop around and find the best deals now,dont rule out 2nd hand as lots will be sold off to fund PS3 purchases

Our Wii still gets regular use. It's strength is in the interactive play. For 'proper' games the PS2 still gets used, but the Wii was worth the cost for Wii Sports alone IMO.

I'm planning to get one aswell soon, mates have Wii's and I so far haven't got bored. Actually ended up getting my own controller and nunchuk already despite not having my own console yet

I'd agree with Ben though, it's only so long before it gets boring but I'm hoping other games will keep it fresh.

Its the same with any console tho. The constant turn over of games should keep it fresh and worth the money. Only problem is, i've been looking online for one, and i cant seem to find anyone who's actually got it in stock apart from ebay. Anyone know when the main shops will be re-stocked with "Wii"'s?

Funnily enough i found that last night after posting it. I have vouchers comming to me, so thats why im looking at where has it in stock, as i need to get the correct amount of vouchers.
