General UNO won't start

My uno just keeps going, please don't have anyone say they aren't well made!
Have you got a n immobiliser?
they can cause all sorts of strange things to happen to the dash lights. When mine is playing up, even the blower doesn't work.
Let me know and if there is one I will tell you more.

Do you have an IMMOBILISER??
If mine is playing up it gives these symptoms:
Everything lights up on the first click of the keys,
on the second click of the keys everything goes dead.
This is caused by loose wiring in the steering columb and I find it is usually set off by the hazards which either flash continually or refuse to work.

Sometimes, just for a change it will sort of run but with absolutely no lights. I've limped her home like that a couple of times. We did manage to fix it (fingers crossed) by patching up the connections.
I'm really interested to know if this is the same as mine, I thought this problems was likely to be a one-off.
