General Uno turbo bumper

Whats the difference between a mk1 uno turbo and a mk2 uno turbo front bumper i no the headlights wings bonnet and indicators are different.Im looking for a bumper for a mk1 but can only find mk2 ones trying to keep it original.

the two are interchangeable, as some owners put mk2 bumpers onto a mk1 fr a diff look. the foggies are very diff on the mk 2, squarer, sharper corners, flush fitting to the surface.

but mainly it's down to the shape, the mk1 is a bit bluff and upright, compared to the sleeker mk2. plus the 2 does look good all scrubbed up, with a red stripe along it!

as alternative, there is a far left way to go, as found by a member a very long time ago.

finding original mk1 uno turbo bumpers is hard as hell, i was lucky when tippex needed a black bumper to replace the painted plastic, i had a full set, lying around. last time i saw a bumper listed by a supplier who actually had one in stock, it was three figures to buy.

Hmmm, I thought there was a difference in height as the mk2 wings are shallower than mk1's. Fro$ty had issues fitting a mk1 Hormann front bumper to his mk2 because of this, though it will go on with modifications.

Otherwise it's as Jai says. The mk1 bumper looks more chunky and the front fogs are totally different in shape. If you do want a mk1 bumper then keep any eye out for someone breaking a mk1 UT - Ebay or Turbocollective are the best places

turbos got the proper moulding to hold in your foggies, a 70sx bumper will have them too. the biggest diff are the 2 sets of slats in the lower portion towards the middle, one for the oil cooler, the other for the intercooler. lower spec unos wont have the holes or the slats ready made.

however their worth could be questioned, i think they are more of a style thing.

For comparison, here's a mk2 Uno 70 SX bumper with fogs. I think the mk2 Turbo version is similar but a little bit lower (as per mk1).
