General Uno Starting Problem

Hi all

I've got an Uno Selecta, 1989. I'm having problems starting the car, and being auto i can't bump start it either.

Symptoms are as follows.

Turn the ignition, lights on dash come on, followed by one click.

Or turn the ignition, completely dead, no lights on the dash come on and no clicking.

I have replaced the battery and still no joy

Any ideas?

Id check the ignition switch itself mate, for it to be lighting the dash up somtimes and not others. Try wriggling the key whist turning it.
