You've probably seen the advert for my mk1 Selecta in the classifieds.

Just in case it's https://www.fiatforum.com/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=34004&cat=27

This really is going to have to move on, due to a serious space problem (lack of!). People who know the car are making very appreciative noises, but I'll have to start advertising it to the great unwashed if no proper enthusiasts are forthcoming. A really good home is the top priority, and I'd rather it went cheap here, than sell for good money through EBay or the classic press. So now's your chance to speak to me about it & make an offer. I really don't want to EBay it!!

I, too am in the same situation. and have put mine on ebay It seems as though if its not the turbo version, there is no real demand for these older cars, of which thousands before them have gone to the scrapyard.Just because its old does not mean its desirable or worth anything. I've seen that the Uno was the sixth most commonly produced car. It is a credit to previous owners and maybe luck that so many have survived. However, sad as it sounds there comes a time when there is no one left to pass the mantle onto, they are fun to drive but worthless as an investment Car restoration for certain models is not considered worthwhile .It is very sad to lose another little piece of history, but what can anyone do about it.It is a personal choice whether to keep it running or let it go. Sorry to spread all this negativity. If I have upset anyone I apologise.

Shame that, I love Unos...but have no space for one. There's a good one near me that the seller is having trouble shifting at £400 with only 46,000 miles and no issues.

Weird it's so unloved. :(

The mk2 is generally still unloved it's true, and £400-£500 is about right. There are a lot of late mk2's still in banger territory & it's going to be a few years before you see any real increase.

Mk1 prices are already increasing though, and not before time. This isn't a debate about values - it's a chance for Fiat Forum folk to get in with a sensible offer, before the car heads out to the masses via the classic car websites & ultimately EBay - it was here for a couple of weeks first to try to find an enthusiast, not as a last resort. Completely agree with you Palio. My concern was not about value, (mine is on ebay for £50) it was about the lack of demand for these older cars. I am virtually giving mine away in the hope that someone will take on the challenge of maintaining it and keeping it out of the scrapyard. The bottom line is that there will be no more made and one by one they will disappear if others do not step forward
