General under body shield

I have owned many cars and vans in my life, but never have had one with a under body shield like the Doblo. It is a pain in the bum to get off to change oil etc. Is it really necessary as the Dobbo has a high clearance anyway?

Hi mate. You should cut a 3inch Square hole in the under tray at the sump plug location then no more worries for draining your oil . I did this in my dobber about 3 years ago and don't know why fiat didn't design the tray with an opening. The tray will keep all the road crap out of your engine bay so I preferred to keep it in place.

They keep the engine bay cleaner and help with areo dynamics probably add around 0.5 mpg
