Hi all,my ulysse's auto gearbox has decided to pack up on me,the car has been jumping into gear for a few weeks when cold,then it wouldnt rev past 3000rpm intermitantly.Finally last week i pulled up to a roundabout & no gears at all,fault on dash said auto gear fault :bang:.Any help or idea's would be greatly appreciated.Regards Kev.

:eek: There are lots of posts ref the auto box on this model Do a search and i think you will find a couple of posts that advise a couple of good garages that might be able to help. But like most bits on the fiat lots of small electrical relays/switches etc that go wrong not always a new gearbox good luck
 
Hi, I also have a failed gearbox. After I have done 7 to 10 miles if I turnoff the engine it will not restart for 3 to 5 hours. Then it will restart as if nothing wrong. It does not show any fault.
If I run it for just under 20 miles the gearbox willl gradually fail, ie it will not lock into 4th then 3rd etc. but does not show any fault
I have been advised £1500 to repair without inspection. I currently cannot afford such silly costs but it is otherwise in good condition but I may have to scrap it. It is a 2004 Eleganza.
I have used a diagnostics tool which shows everything else running OK but it was not good enough to read the gearbox
I would appreciate any ideas.
