Hi all,
My fiat Ulysse 2.0i is idling all over the place, when you rest your foot at 1,500rpm, the revs go up and down, it doesn't stall however.. It's like it's loosing fuel supply and then getting it again? Is it worth trying a EGR Idle Valve? It also idles at 750rpm all over the place too.
It's also got really noisy tappets at the moment, it's constant even when warm. Do these engines have self adjusting tappets? Once you get past 4500rpm, some of the tappet noise goes away..
It also seems to be drinking petrol at the moment, I did 37 miles today, normal driving, at it's drank at least 10 litres according to the gauge.. Not good when fuel is so high in price at the moment..
Any help/solutions would be much appreciated,
