ulysse 2.0 jtd 16v

Hi all, I am rebuilding my ulysse 2004 2.0jtd engine, after cambelt failure and a bit stuck with the cam timing on the inlet side, with the chain. ELearn says, that on the mark on the tooth of the cam should be straight up but don't seem to have any compression when turning it over by hand. I have put the 8mm pin in the exhaust cam and the pin in the fly wheel.

Can anyone please confirm that this is right!???
