UK - New 80MPH speed limit

If you truly haven't seen that then you've missed the hazard. There is no chance in the world that has not been happening when you've been on a motorway. You either never go on them or aren't award the hazard exists.

I dont see how its such a big hazard like your making out. Its no different to overtaking any other car. Mirror, signal and manoeuvre...job done.

I don't go on them that often, but its never really bothered me.

I was joking! Yes I've heard of the two second rule and try to adhere to it. Just wish the cars in front would go a little faster.

I wish I had a six pack, and a porn star sucking my knob right now.

What makes you more important than the person in front? Unless you've got a blue light with Police, Fire or Ambo on, nothing.

I'm not. It just bugs me a bit the mentality of people. There's a car travelling in one lane at 68 but the car in front of me wants to over take it at 70. What's the point, just stay behind it. Then those of us that want to do 80/90 can do so happily

The law says you do 70. Why should people let you past because you want to break the law?

Why shouldn't they overtake? They've got every right to do so, I would do and do it regularly to maintain my speed..

People that want to do 80/90 shouldn't be anyway so that's the problem really.

You get in front but you get nowhere then tit person will then drop 2mph and the one that's just been over taken a few miles down the road will over take back. It's mad. Just get the overtake done and move back over. Simple.

But when we are allowed to be doing 80 then whats your arguement going to be. you just slow things up. If you want to maintain speed, slightly ease off drop 2 mph and stay behind them. not overtake for a distance of about 500 metres ffs.

You mean IF. I doubt they'll change the speed limit anyway. Even if the limit changes I can still do whatever speed I want as long as it's below the speed limit :)

Exactly the same +10 maybe? Ease off to maintain speed, yeah that works...

I do overtake them move back over...! Why would they then drop 2.

If yes but they really should increase it. I can do whatever speed I want to. It's only breaking the law if you get caught at the end of the day. My uncle is a traffic cop and he hates the limit being 70 as he says all the cars that spot him immediately drop to 70 and It's a nightmare. he would rather then continue as they had been doing. I tend to agree. One question, you lot ain't all ninety years old or somethig are you and that's why you're worried as your reaction time is actually longer than the actual stopping distances?

cause hgvs are limited, but for cars don't just stay behind it don't overtake with 2mph difference put your foot down.

and the cock who wants to do 80 / 90 in the middle lane without thinking whats about to happen at junctions
90mph = 40.2meters per second
with a line of hgvs at a junction one may have to move out to stop an accident. you flying past it, how much warning do you think you will have when a left sided truck can only see lets say 200 meters down the road with his mirror (hill)
you will only get 5 seconds to react

or when you pass a truck and there is a cross wind ever felt the difference on your steering wheel? i know i have been forced to the edge of my lane before

we don't need to be doing these speeds, fact we have trains to do em for us
apparently high speed train max is 170 that's twice as fast + a taxi around the city in bus lanes, if your that important.

then a nice slow train to your home,

also for trains you cand drink and sleep

im 22 my reactions arnt always the best option.
17 year old just past aint gonna think to pump his break pedal is he?
he won't think about frictional constants

experience can take over reaction times

while you slam on and cause a ghost trafic jam they may just drop a gear and do a smooth motion
