Hi all I have an Abarth 595 and a Fiat Ducato based Motorhome, both fitted with a unconnect 500 the MH has satnav the Abarth not.
But, although my radio listening is limited to just a few stations, one in particular, Greatest Hits radio just does not work on either radio except for sounding like a constantly stuck CD, and then refuses to change the station without turning it off and on again.
We travel around the UK a fair bit and GHR has reception points in most counties but the problem is the same in all areas, it is only in the last year or so it has started doing it.
The other car we have has no issues with it at all or any of the house radios which I think takes away the radio broadcast being at fault given the problem is only with the 2 uconnect units.
Did buy a new aerial but decided it cant be that due to every other station appearing to work okay, DAB is an iffy system at best no matter where you are or what station you listen to it fades in and out due to the vague effeiciency of DAB, but has done that in every car with DAB I have ever had.
Someone suggested a reset/update to the units and provided a site whereby you enter the chassis number and download the update but the site just does not recognise either vin numbers, and whatever you search for still brings up the same site with the same result, so, any ideas guys/ gals anybody have the same or similar issue with their radio, has anyone replaced the uconnect with a different unit and found it worth doing?
