Hi, Got a 1.6 Marea running 185/65 14 tyres on the standard steel rims, can I go to 195/60 14 on the same rims without rubbing on anything and is there any benefit in doing so?

That tyre size will not rub in anyway. The arches are easily big enough to swallow them.
I would think they would fit your wheel but do not know for sure. Any benefits would be made from a larger foot print so grip would be increased. At the same time though in low grip conditions they may work against you.

no real benefit. wider tyres have slightly more grip.
