Need 2 new front tyres for the sei sporting alloys,

what is available? Do i have to stick with 165 50?

and what tyre do people think is best/found best for theirs?

Kwik fit charging £67 pounds each for pirelli's but i dont really want them again. Magowan though said about nangyangs(or however it spelt :p) or goodyears, he can do for £40-£50 each?? good?

thanx

avoid nankangs as one guy called them on here nankang hedgefindes i had them and pirellis on my car and i hated them both never again. i got bridgestone potenza re720's on my punto now they rock, dont knw oif they do teh size you need though. would deffinatly pick goodyears out of teh 2 you mentioned.

mmm, what do you have little yellow?

these are what i found for that size, Yokohama A539 or Bridgestone RE720.
And they about same prize as 165/55's goodyear nct3's

think you've changed my mind from the nct3's to one of these 2 little yellow.

I've run 175/50's for over a year now, wouldn't go back to standard size at all.

Jury is still out on wether bridgestone's are better than the Conti's, just got two Conti's on the front after running 4 Bridgestones. More expensive yes but better grip is worth it IMO.

Asked the guy and he said he not get none of the 175/50's in and not til end of next week and i need two new fronts bad so he's got me some new ntc5's comin for monday/tuesday defo.

so will try them out.

when i had my 13's (165/55) i had all nankangs, i quite liked them

the pirellis and goodyear where exceptional though, but at the time i needed new tyres i could only afford nankangs

yeah a couple of garages had them and i could have got them fitted yesterday for only like £50 for the two fitted balanced etc but was told to avoid nankangs unless was no other option but for £50 they's be good for just burning the s**t out of for the summer :)

Finally got my two new fronts today, goodyear eagle tourings 165/55, hada test them out round a wee corner, holding on to the road well, am pleased so far, hopefully when gets dryer will be even better.

Bit of an old thread, but I have two Nankangs on the front, fitted by Uncle Arnie. They are rubbish. Most of you boy racers won't have a full car, but they're so soft that the air leaks out, with a family of 4. I have to pump the tyres up sometimes three times a week. But the GYs on the back are fine

Tis an odd one that, my NSF Nankang does that the other one seems fine (that'll lose 10psi in a week). Odd.
