Technical Typical Monday Morning.

Hi,

Got in my car this morning (1.4 8v active sport) Turn the key and first thing i noticed was the external temperature guage was blank.

Started the car as i noticed this and it ran fine.... however the Abs, brake and power steering lights hadnt go out. ??!!

Then noticed my fuel gauge hadnt moved and was flashing.
My rev counter wasnt working
Then got an airbag failure warning message on the dash.

However no Engine warning and it was running fine
I drove it round the block and my speedo isnt working...

Any ideas?
It cant be the ECU Am guessing.

Check for water in electrics like fuse box or earths, my car wouldn't start the other day because the gearbox earth was wet and the rear number plate lights stopped working today

It appears to be a problem with the CAN network, so the components can't talk to eachother in the car which explains why everything would have appeared to have broken all at once haha.

step 1 - disconnect battery for 30mins and see if it clears out the bad connection.

step 2 - take it to a dealer for a proxy allignment to get them all 'talking' again. ~£30
