My dad had a 1.6 Ghia escort. Terrible car!! brown interior, stunk of fumes/oil, was slow, and ended up VERY rusty, despite being in excellent condition when he got it and very well looked after, engine went as well.

That aside, it did look good with the spotlights and spoiler, looked pretty rally car-ish.

early xr3's had this type the later 3i's got a better looking three spoke one, but I am keeping this one standard due to the car being close to concourse ... just have a few jobs to do round the engine bay

Love both of them, Used to have a big collection of mk3 & 4 escorts and orions...and even a few Mk2's. My NON Fiat thread has a few of them on it. Once you have the Ford bug you never really lose it...

Used to work on these back in the day, (not yours) Plenty of room in the engine bay to work on. Nice examples.
