I´ve already got or fitted all the prep...suspension, brakes, wheels etc....and the turbo, manifold, intercooler, pipework etc, I can get extremely cheap...and even genuine Fiat parts I can get at 65-75% off the retail price. And at work I have a welder, plasma cutter, lathe, mill, pipe former...pretty much everything I need....
Also....bearing in mind I´m only looking for a low boost turbo....the most expensive thing I was thinking would be the aftermarket ECU??
Although.....tomorrow morning I finally get to collect my Cinq down here in Spain....just finished having a 1.4 16v fitted.....the engine and gearbox was 80 euros...and fitting it all came to 260 euros....so I might have a play with the idea of a turbo on this one....and perhaps swap the engine with my english cinq in the future....:idea:
And there´s no worries with the insurance....I always declare everything....and I´ve already checked with a specialist broker how much it would be....and as long as I keep the mileage down....it is surprisingly cheap
