Ok seeing as my local fiat professional dealer cannot plug their machine in for 3 weeks because they’re busy!
And I keep getting limp mode & EML on,

Codes PO238 & PO236 turbo pressure & air circuit (linked to 238)

A friendly voice on here suggests it’s the turbo pressure solenoid,

For the cost and cost of losing work I’ll just do it myself

I’m guessing it’s one of these (see picture Number 5)
Looks like a washer pump bolted behind the black vacuum box hanging middle top centre of engine bay

Now,
I’ve been given a part number of 55269482 from another dealer,
Looking online I’ve found part number 55256638

Can anyone double check the part number please?
Vin ZFA25000002C14405

Just want to rule out an incorrect order

Many thanks in advance

Before you buy electro valve check the pipes haven’t got a kink causing resistance in vacuum, also basic rule is to use mity vac on pipe that goes down back engine to actuator if you can borrow one but it most probably is the electro valve faulty they get really hot bet the number you’ve found has been superseded to the dealer number

Pipes look ok from what I can see,
My problem is re testing, I ain’t got the time as it’s a working self employed van,
So it’s cheaper to throw a solenoid on it than lose a days work or hire a van for similar costs

Only other thing I need to check is the ecu wires, as I’m assuming they’re still cable tied to the ecu bracket causing wear, which cost me on last van,

Thanks

Currently sat at fiat pro dealer whilst this updates its firmware, fingers crossed my dab works

Also
Running problems I’m told are related to EGR recall, parts still on backorder since early December,

Progress (on the radio) at last

I had similar fault on my 2012 2,3 150 sometime now and when. Fiat couldent find it. Found it meself under in the fusebox in front it is a connector that was bad. Just took apart and put together again. Now ok! Bad connector, try that first...[emoji854]

Hi just reading your thread at mo and remembering another car with same issue. Your codes can be an issue with boost pressure sensor telling you there's too much or little boost or not being regulated. That's if you have one that is. From your picture, 5 relates to an EGR operating solenoid as its under emissions. So I'm thinking Turbo Wastegate, EGR sticking or solenoid leaking or knackered.
Oh and by the way the Solenoid for a Chrysler from Chrysler amounts to about £28...Yeh real..
Just an idea....

Been doing a little nosing and no5 as you say could be the Turbo Boost Control Valve/Solenoid. It can be tested with a hand vac pump and may come to bits by prising with a screwdriver.
