Hi folks,
I have a Fiat engine (twin-cam type) fitted in a kit car. I don't know what car the engine came out of, but the engine has a problem and I'd like to fit new valve guides. I've drifted an inlet one of them out, it's phosphor bronze (and so could be aftermarket?) and it has "Fiat Lancia B749" professionally etched (ie it's not done by hand) onto the outside of it.
I've tried to marry this up to a part number both at my local Fiat dealers and on the web with no success, my local dealer tells me that Fiat have no interest in their older cars and that it looks like a makers mark rather than a Fiat one.
I'd really appreciate some help here.
Many thanks.
John
