Re: Re: true

The number of new posts has lessen'd and some posts that are used for chatting exceed 50 or so.

Ridiculous.

I hear you, but one mans crap is another mans bacardi breezer.
Its this chat room factor thats getting daft.

N E way, carnt u luk past it.....BABE! :)

Re: Re: Re: true

we all need to try and stop using this forum as a free for all website. meaning just use it as it says on the front page.

ie.

Welcome to the Fiat Bravo Forum. This is THE place to discuss all things Bravo, Brava & Marea, and the best place to get technical advice, modification tips & other general advice. We would appreciate it if you would respect each other's wishes on this forum and keep it clean, polite but most of all enjoyable for everyone to view.

i myself dont enjoy coming on here much now days, and there are a lot of people out there (u know who u r) that feel the same.

Re: Re: true

After many friendly suggestions to a certain individual from several people about using this forum as chat room due to having a slight annoyance with it, this person just tells us to leave the forum and stop spoiling it, which i believe that this person is infact wrong as this forum belongs to us folks with Fiat Bravo's & other Italian variants making this Forum belong to our community.

I think we can all see that when one particular person posts a post, it gets numerous replys. Reading these posts, talking about the weekend etc, has nothing to do with these Italian Beauty's.

Something must be done. Come on Moderators. Put your foot down to this person.

I'd like to keep anonymous as some of you may not agree with me and may consider not helping me further on the Bravo Forum with any car related troubles.

Re: Re: Re: true

Those anon posts also that are contradictory are also annoying

Re: Re: Re: true

Hi,

I have to agree that there are one or two threads in here that are simply a daily chat room. I have absolutely nothing against any of the individuals who started these up or participated in these threads. I know most of them all very well, but this is, after all, a FIAT Bravo/a forum and should primarily be concerened with that topic.

As moderators, we have to wade through all these threads, checking for things (I think we all know what I mean ;) ) and to all your credit, there's nothing to worry about in there, except for the fact that it's not really FIAT or car related.
As many have already pointed out, we have a chat room facility in here which is simple yet effective and I would encourage people to use it as often as possible. Many users here use MSN Messenger as a point of contact with users, and believe me, we talk about all kinds of stuff outside of the forum LOL

There is no harm whatsoever with a little light hearted banter, or the odd Off Topic post to a funny website or something similar. These little gems have provided us all with much amusement, and we thank Patrick for being the main contributor in this respect LOL ;) (j/k Paddy)

So, we welcome EVERYONE in to our forum, so long as they behave and show respect for the other users, whether you own a Bravo or not, but please remember what this forum is here for and use it accordingly.

If you have any questions or issues, feel free to contact me at [email protected] . Also, feel free to add that address to your MSN list and chat to me on there. I welcome your input, because this forum is, after all, here for your benefit as users and owners.

Cheers,

Rob

Re: Re: Re: Re: true

Just to add.....

I have mentioned what I call "Forum Etiquette" in the past.

This is simply making sure you put your name on your posts. We don't necessarily need your real name, but some form of identification that you can use regularly, so users know who they're conversing with and the flow of posts in threads can be identified.

Also, make sure you put a title on your post if you are starting a new thread, so we all know what it's about. This also helps you get a speedier response to your query.

Simple little things like this, including not using some of those REALLY annoying text abbreviations, because Nige, Wimmy, Patrick and myself are all 30+ (well, Patrick is knocking on 70!!) and we can't always understand what you "yoofs" are going on about (or shld tht b..wht u yfs r gng n abt !) help make this forum a better place.

Cheers Dudes and Dudettes,

Rob

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: true

i don't normally agree with restricting what is said, but the posts in question really annoyed me too, it was like going into a teen chat room. I didn't like to say anthing as i didn't want to cause offense so well done to Tafi for bringing it up.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: true

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: true

I believe it means there is a problem accessing the page because you might be running a firewall. I'm not 100% sure on this.

Rob

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: true

Ok, confirmed, it is a firewall issue. You can either log the page details so your firewall accepts it or just drop the firewall whilst you enter the chat room and then bring it straight back up.

I'm in there now ;)

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: true

I agree to what Roberto has said. I also mentioned the chat and MSN the other day. However, I also understand that sometimes these are sometimes unavailable in the workplace (and yes, I know where supposed to be working)

The majority of us have made none fiat/car posts. Me and my Kylie Friday, Paddy and his games/jokes, others just asking general information and lets not forget TAFI ratted in a wedding dress, lol. I do not see it as a problem as long as it isnt numerous new threads and its abuse free. If a banter/chat thread wants to be started, why not keep it as long as it is only ONE PER DAY as I feel the most annoying part was the AMOUNT of new threads being creted for chat purposes. This way it can be ignored if you do not want to read.

This is just my opinion/suggestion.

Comments/opinions?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: true

Is it me or do we go through this every few months? It has changed in the recent past so there is less banter and non-fiat stuff, and I think the change is for the worse. It seems very dull indeed at the moment i'm sorry to say
