the garage said the dials went down so they fixed it. im assuming they had to remove the cluster to do this. then he said the mileage is 80 odd tho but its reading 60 odd tho.
i have past MOT certs which show the mileage at 80 odd k.
i press the trip button on the stalk and nothing changes on the display.

Failure of the trip computer is unheard of so it's a virtual certainty the problem is due to tampering with the dash.

In any case, if the cluster had been installed correctly then the mileage should have been updated to match the true mileage.

My cruise control did not work from new (how they missed it in the PDI I'll never know), however sunbequent investigations found it needed a replacement brake switch. Obviously I got mine done under warranty, but worth checking, probably something that can be done by the DIYer.

can the mileage be put back to what it was?
i want the trip to work so i know what im getting mpg.
its going back 2morrow cos the key fob does not work remotley i even changed the battery.
the boot lid is tempremental when opening.
the rear door on drivers side doesnt open from the inside
theres a knocking noise when steering
put tenner diesel in & lasted 20miles so i doubt they serviced it when they said they would

starting to regret buying one of these.

I think most people on here are surprised you've bought it as it seems clear it's been neglected & had some botched servicing done.

You either buy them with only a few owners and full service history - or take a risk and buy on the cheap and be prepared to fix stuff.

its in good condition on the outside.
just wondering where i stand by asking for my cash back & just leaving the car at the garage!!!

yeah ive read up on that. taking the car back down on tuesday to get fixed. if they dont play, i aint leaving without my cash back.
the knocking noise happens when i steer from left to right whether its driving or when still. anyone with any ideas?
