Hi, i have the punto 1.2 active, 5 door hatch, and i am wondering whether anyone has seen any punto's towing caravans. I have a fairly light sprite musketeer which i can pull by hand when on site. It has a max weight of 875kg, but i am not sure if the punto will tow it adequately. Can anyone help, thanks, Tom.

In your owners manual it should display your towing weights and kerb weights. Then you can obviously cross reference these with the weight of your caravan. As you know your car weights must be bigger than the caravans

TBH i have never seen a punto towing a caravan unless its one of those pop up caravan things, and i dont recommend towing personally with anything below a 1.4 engine. Ive seen a few incidents and unsuitable vehicles turn up to tow things with at the outdoor shop i used to work at.

Thanks for all the reply's, Dave's idea is probably the best way to go :)

*warning - trick question alert*
So you reckon a Bravo 1.4 would tow a caravan better than a Bravo 1.2? ;)

TBH i couldnt answer that, i wouldnt use either, the 1.2 would be too gutless with weight on it and the 1.4 was a cack engine as we all know, that maybe an anomalie to the rule.
