next week im getting mine fitted. there are only two people who make one for the bravo: brink and fiat themselves. the fiat one is the cheaper at around £180+VAT. the back bumper has to come off and it fits there and electrics are extra. get a garage to fit it though.

Towbar

I had one fitted a few months ago, got it from a dealer for £180 - it was a Brink detachable system. Then had it fitted by another company as Fiat don't fit them themselves, they charged £100 and came to my house to do it - not bad for about 4 hours work.

I had a look at all the instructions before it was fitted, unless your very good at this sort of thing, don't even try it - you could make a real mess as you got to drill all sorts out of the floor pan.

They had to cut a tiny bit of my bumper - just the lip at the bottom.

BRAVO TOWBAR

I fitted a tow bar to my bravo, It wasn't Difficult A bit of dimantling...The rear bumper has to come off,But not too bad. the worst part is the wiring,The bulb failier device means that the wiring has to be taken to the fuse box and not all just done at the rear light clusters, There are details of this in the origional Fiat owners hand book.
They are expensive though as for fitting to cars manufactured after 1998 tow bars have to be type approved which makes them more expensive to manufacture.
Plus they have to be of the demountable type or the bar will obscure the number plate.
as to the manufactures I think there may be a few more than 2 mine is made by BOSAL. The fitting instructions that came with it were very good.

Towbar

I had a towbar fitted to a Fiat Brava this year.
I purchased a tow bar from TOWSURE.Approx £65. Kit includes everthing needed to fit. They are on the internet. Had it fitted for about another £70. The rear bumer has to removed and there is some drilling into the boot area for the clamps. It is possible to fit at home but I have friend who works in a garage. Lot easier drilling when stood under the car.

Towbar

Had one fitted 6 months ago. Cost 115+VAT fitted and is permanent fixture single socket. Have had no problems at all with the bar although it did take out a few which cut out my speedo. Fortunately I tried it shortly after the fitter left and called him. He was back in 5 minutes and replaced a blown fuse. I live in Bristol and if anyone is interested the company is Top Fit and they cover Thornbury-Glastonbury 0117 9000347
