Hi Folks......any suggestions for the best place to get touch up paints, both small tube with brush and or spray. My B IS A 1999 Riviera in black (thats the redish black!)

Hi There

I've found this lot very helpful and they will post stuff out to you.

I have a ltd edition colour and they got me the touch up paint when everyone else I spoke to said they could not get it.

Mangoletsi (Holdings) Limited,
London Road (A50),
Allostock,
Knutsford,
Cheshire,
England,
WA16 9NS.

By Telephone 01565 - 722899
By Fax 01565 - 722229
By Email [email protected]

Hope this helps

Some dealers have asked me for the car's VIN (vehicle identification number) and chassis number so they can do an exact match for my request. Are there any privacy concerns if I give those details out?

Or would it be easier just to give them the colour code from the inside of the bonnet?

Just give the paint code to any decent automotive paint supplier. They can mix it and put it in an aerosol can or a tub for you.

Use Yellow Pages or Google for those in your area.

try auto-paint -st helens they made me up a spray can phone number 01744 818102

The VIN is used to pinpoint parts used for your specific vehicle as there is often updates, changes to part manufacturer etc so nothing to worry about unless you have worries about that specific dealers buisness practises.

Cheers for your help mate - I'll give them the VIN and the colour code :)

For those who may be interested - got a quote for a 8ml bottle at AUD23.30 (about GBP9.5) from a dealer. Apparently there is no stock in the entire country (!) so will have to play the waiting game

Hi I have had difficulty finding my colour code but a quick call to the Fiat dealer with the chasis number and they give me the colour code. Then a trip to Halfords and they will mix it for you they charge 13.99 for 500ml will mix less if required.:D
