if you ask a question on an emotive subject (high speed) you can usually expect emotive responses

i have found most on here are not really 'petrolheads' and not interested in high performance or tuning

so unfortunately posting about these things draws a critical response

Didn't mean to upset you chatruk. Whether you drive crazy or not I'm just intruiged as to the mentality of wanting people to tell you how fast they have managed to get their cars to go. Your car only has a few thousand miles on it and is pretty new. I would recommend looking after it, not topping it out on a race track otherwise you'll be back on this forum looking for repair advice!
There's a lot more to driving enjoyment than flat out performance.

talking not knowing nothing, like a parrot....
P.S whose a pretty boy then ;)

i repeat,i only make a cuestion about the speed, and much people, start talks above all, less the speed.
sorry for my cuestion,i whon`t problems whit the queen....jajaja

Don't apologize, you didn't do or say anything wrong.

It's not your fault some overzealous people replied to you with a false sense of outrage.

They're just crazy people, don't pay attention to them.

We still don't know what he was trying to achieve by asking this question though do we?

There's no outrage, just a sensibility that comes with growing up. I'm 30 by the way (and also have two children). :)

Book top speed on mine is 121MPH, I've had it to 110, although can't remember if that was speedo or GPS. Not saying where it was though.

On a similar note our mighty American Muscle car - ok I'll tell the truth the Neon

Here are the figures from Parkers

0-60 in 11.6 seconds (more like hours)
Top Speed is 114 mph (that's meters per hour)
Brake Horse Power is 131 (measured in baby Shetland Ponies)

And for our other car

0-60 in 8.1 seconds
Top Speed is 143 mph
Brake Horse Power is 206 (2.7 litres of twin turbo makes a difference even if it is hauling a rather fat 1790 kg)

I may have maxed my 2.0 Mutijet 165 when it was legal to do so on unrestricted motorways on the continent but very few cars on these particular roads aren't going rather quickly. It didn't feel particularly safe as it isn't a controlled environment and all you need is a blow out and you'd be in trouble. It is surprising how much longer it takes you to slow down....

Sorry to wade in on this one, but who cares what the top speed of your Bravo is?

How often are you going to need that kind of speed and how often are you going to want to rev the nuts off your car to get there?

Your Bravo is a family hatchback, not a track car and it is certainly not designed for driving dangerously on the public highway.:bang:

Have to agree with RobBravo on this one - there are a lot of idiots out there and those sitting at home wondering how fast they can go tend to fall squarely in that category - sorry guys(n)

Yep it's not 0-60 or top speed that matters it's the ability to accelerate swiftly and safely in a relaxed manner at normal road speeds, probably marks me out as a bit old and past it though.....

I think anything over about 90 mph is rather scary when you realise just how defficient your brakes are, a few years back was in Germany in the delta hpe HF that I had at the time and pulling down from 130 plus wasn't too good!

This really does illustrate the point I was making!

Oh really, then how do you explain this childish disrespectful comment:

I stand by it completely Tad-bravo. It wasn't childish, nor disrespectful.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

Absolutely - as demonstrated by Tad-bravo's previous comments:

It's not your fault some overzealous people replied to you with a false sense of outrage.

They're just crazy people, don't pay attention to them.

Oh and the following:

Haha yeah, that's probably not a good idea...
I can already see the replies from those forum members with anger management problems (or maybe they're just menstruating all at the same time?)

Sorry that you find us 'sensible folk' so irritating.

Overzealous, crazy, childish, disrespectful, paranoid, melodramatic, condescending, and menstruating apparently!

you've got to admit the irony in everything you have said thus far is a tad(-bravo) amusing :D

:p
