hey guys,

i have a 2001 seicento sporting 1.1

i know its already a little rocket and does 109 at a push,

wondering if anyone can tell me the potential of it, with whatever mods like chip, intake, weight reduction, etc,

whats the top speed anyone has had theirs, bearing in mind its staying 1.1, and whats the quickest 0-60?

cheers, sorry if i sound very new at this, probs cos i am;)

0-60 is meaningless, how often do you go from 0-60?

30-70 is the one you want to aim for improving. The torque is everything, even 0-60 needs torque

so how would i go about improving the torque, this is my first car and im no gearhead at the moment so this is all new for me,

thanks

wow you are a complete tool arent you, anyways any help would be greatful, just reading up about it online,

Hi David

We dont believe he can do 109 ask for video evidence please, or speeding ticket.

it's your first car and you've already had it (allegedly) up to 109? the last thing you should be thinking about is making it faster atm

Have you run your ideas past your underwriter yet?

so your planning on modifying your car without telling the insurance i take it? if its your first car, you will be hammered by the insurance for mods, its worthwhile getting a quote for planned work BEFORE you do anything. many a plan is scuppered by insurance costs.

it was a fair question from rallycinq, its not a good idea to type abuse when your asking for help (y)

I remember going through the similar problems with insurance not long after I had my first car. Wanting something faster, I really wanted an awesome 30-70 for overtaking as that is the most annoying thing with low cars - no overtaking ability. I've got a car that will comfortably do 120 all day now but I rarely take it above 80. Its the overtaking ability that most people crave, that kick in the back when you prod the loud pedal.

So best thing I can suggest for the OP if he really wants something faster isnt to modifiy what he has but go out and buy something naturally faster. Suck up the insurance costs, because a car modified to be as fast as a fast car will still cost a lot more to insure. Modify cars when one doesnt suit your needs but if its jsut power and speed you want, its easier in the long run to just buy one both from a insurance point of view and a reliability (ask those tubby cento guys ;)). If you want a fast car and cheap insurance then you'll be looking at the most uncool cars you can think of, something a boy racer would rather walk than drive: various Nissans, most Volvos, some Saabs, most diesels.

If you still want to keep your cento and make it lightning fast then after you've done intake and exhaust, next sensible step is a turbo, might seem expensive but a low boost one will be best bang for buck. Fiat did most of the weight reduction before they sold the Sei so unless you can live without back seats or are prepared to live with perspex windows there isnt a lot you can do. I can't imagine you'll see north of 90bhp though even with a crazy cam and a lot of head work unless you go turbo.

But personally I think the OP needs to chill out, insulting people who are making very valid points doesnt help anyone.

the OP obviously cares more about his ego than other road users and his car.

i'm sure the car wasn't designed to be pushed that hard.
I think the question he is asking is how quickly he can blow the engine up, i have a standard sei shumi and it's performance is more than sufficiant, "boy racer's" who need them!!!

 How rude... an insult and a request for help all in one sentence...

GTFO I say...

Maybe a misunderstanding - underwriter / undertaker?

Go easy chaps

anyway my 1.1 cinq does about 110 on the flat
with K&N and punto 65 32mm throttle body

and i disagree that 110 on the speedo is 15mph out!

pretty cheap minor mods which dont cost me much extra to insure. about £3 a month or something

Its deffo worth making sure the engine, brakes and suspension are tip top before spending extra cash...

My suggestion, for what its' worth.

Sell your fiat, as you are giving the rest of us a bad name.

I hear that the ford fiesta forum is a good place to refer to your fellow owners as "tools"

Hopefully you will never come to a meet. Maybe the "tool" would teach you a thing or two!
