Hi,
The timing chain snapped on my fiorino this week.
Not sure how much damage was done but I expect it was substantial.
Have had a couple of quotes to rebuild the engine but not sure if it's worth it.
The other option would be another engine.
The question is wether any of the other 1.3 engines in other fiat vehicles would fit in a fiorino as there doesn't seem to be many fiorino engines about, but lots of doblos etc.
Any help would be much appreciated.
thanks

Tear it down and see what's been done first even if you've got to drop another lump in it you lost nothing but Time , and if you buy any special tools to do it you will need them for fitting new chain etc on the replacement lump

Hi,
the idea is that the top end "rockers" are weak (sacrificial) so you can replace them and the chain and it should be ok,
@£300 in parts.
