My timing belt needs changing on my 97 Bravo 1.6SX.
Would you recommend that I buy the parts and supply them to the garage? Or just let them do it all?
Approx how much am I looking at having to fork out to get it done?
Cheers in advance

its MARGINALLY cheaper to supply the parts yourself, but the garage almost certainly wont guarantee the job, only the workmaship (And if it goes wrong just imagine trying to prove poor workmanship, and not faulty parts) You'd also be onto plums taking the issue up with the supplier, because they tend to just put the phone down, or close the door on you.
just make sure to get a couple of quotes first, and let the garage know that you know what the parts cost. garages are quite bad for inflating prices i've found

Ive been told that you need special tools to be able to change this on fiat bravos. Is this true? Asking because my father in law's mate usually services my cars and was hoping he would be able to change it for me (to save my wallet!!:))
