hi , what happens if your timing belt snaps on a panda ,does it have safe engine?

you tried eating Battenburg, thats not easy at all.
Its a simple job, do you have a haynes manual and dont forget all the pulleys will need lining up right.

there some pics of timing marks knocking aroung the forums some where, check the cento an punto sections an guides, its all the same engine

It is a good idea to check the belt tensioner (the little wheel that keeps the belt tight) while you are at it. Replace it if it feels loose or slightly rough when you turn it. It should have no slack and should turn easily and smoothly. They aren't expensive and are really simple to change. If the tensioner fails it can break the belt.
