throttle body help..

ok had my bonnet open all weekend... fitting a small cold air feed... started her up and saw something strange.... well in my eyes.... i own a 1.6 sx brava mk 2.... bear with me hard to explain... on the throttle body u got the plastic thing cable coming of it and goes up this pipe.... which has a white plastic cover aswell... which can be screwed in and out.... and also a plastic nut to hold it at the correct distance... well mine is loose... i reved it and the nut started to spin and then it screwed it self in....

Wat is this... is it throttle adjustment... and could this cause a little lag on accel... how do i find the correct distance to set it to..

we need pics. i have a mk2 1.6 and i cant quite grasp what ur on about.

grrrr... right go to ur engine and pop the hood.... find throttle body.... and u got a black plastic thing with the throttle cable on it... when u push it.... it revs.... ok... follow the cable (2" max) and it will disappear in to a white plastic screw...with a white plastic nut.... and about 2/3rds of an incg of thread on it.... understanding??? well mine is loose.... it turns when i rev it
