I went to the doc a few days ago due to constant dizziness and I was told I had a thready pulse and was sent for blood tests which I got done today after refusing going to hospital. ( I just hate the places )

Anyone have any idea what sort of diagnosis I could expect and possible cures ahead, any past experiences with this sort of condition ?

I was tested for oxygen levels when I was at the docs but these blood tests will be covering many different possibilities apparently and I am not sure if I should be worried or just take it in my stride like I am at the moment ?

The doc was really concerned about the pulse going really high and then dropping very low just seconds later.

Any input at all would help, or maybe make it worse, you never know, give it your best shot :D

if there's nothing wrong with you and they suspect you may be a whinging hypochondriac they'll say you have vertigo and prescribe the usual random pills they have surplus stock of in the NHS.

if there is really something wrong with you they'll misdiagnose it as vertigo and prescribe the usual random pills they have surplus stock of in the NHS.

good old NHS.

:D (y)

Sounds about right to me actually, that's the worrying side of it :bang:

A cardiologist is the next step if the blood tests come up short

How did you put up with it for soooo long Dave, have you finally got used to it all now or have you gone way too far past the old age thing and have simply forgotten about it all ? :p

So you get a very dodgy pulse and black out all the time ?

Yes it could be linked to the brain but surely he'd get you to see a heart specialist first because blood not being pumped to the brain would obviously come down to a heart problem  That's the thinking behind my doctors recommendation at this time but I am no expert although it does seem very logical to me

careful mate, i had something similar to that a few years ago, no idea what caused it, i ended up in intensive care in a coma for a month. Take it easy, and dont drive at any cost.

Yeah driving is a big NO at the moment, too dizzy to consider it. I'll take your advice and be careful too, thanks for the info, very alarming though

Cheers for the info Dave, hopefuly it's something simple like that after reading the above message :dead:

i had really bad dizzyness for a few days every now and then which was probably something to do with glandular fever which i caught but as it wasn't a standard strain it wasn't diagnosed for a year or two. your best bet if you want to find out what is wrong with you is to pay up (my uncle payed for me which i really want to pay him back for) and see a specialist and avoid stupid length waits. though i never had the pulse out, as far as i know.

Cheers Besbie.

The pulse situation and the BP problem is the most concerning aspect and dizziness would be bearable if it was in small doses but the lack of blood flow is causing the dizziness so it's a bloody annoying situation, pun intended  I'll get the results from the blood test on wednesday, hopefuly they'll have a reason for it all, if not it's gonna come down to hospital visits :yuck:

I can't even do any training :bang: That's the worse thing about it all. (n)
