Son's car turned up on the back of a lowloader, again! :bang: The recovery guy, who has worked on several cinqs sportings in the past diagnosed the Lambda sensor. I was not convinced that that was the problem. The car would not start. I could not hear the fuel pump kick in when the ignition was switched on. Searched our Haynes manual and found the ECU has a relay, this relay is positioned right and in front of the ECU. Luckily I have a sporting too and unplugged the relay from my car and fitted to sons, bingo it worked. To confirm the faulty relay I replaced the faulty one in my car and the fuel pump was silent when I switched on the ignition. New one from Fiats cost £20.01.
Hopefully this may help someone in the future.

Great and helpful forum keep up the good work. (y)

Tis always handy to have another car kicking around, perhaps if my wife is reading this she will understand my need to have a lock up with 3 minis in, 2 identical model scooters and a shed full of kawasaki spares :D

My old man always says....look forthe cheepest thing first, you can bet it's that.

Had a Nova years ago that suffered from violent brake judder, replaced discs, pads, caliper sliders, wheel bearing, lower swivel joint, track rod end, shocks, ARB rubbers.......still did it.......20p's worth of air in the nearside tyre to make it match the offside cured it !!! :bang:

There must be a moral to that story......buggered if I can think of one though :D
