American Adventure isn't far from where I live (30-35 mins?) in Nottm. It's intended for much younger people though....I went when I was in year 9 with school approximately (maybe less) and it was OK then but I am told it has got more childish.
Thorpe is better if ur not a *****. thorpe is intended for thrill seakers and so there arent really any kiddie rides or family rides if you dont like thrill rides.
Chessington is alot more family orientated but still has some classic rides like Vampire and remesis revenge etc.
downside to thorpe is that the park is overrun with chav idiots which really ruin the place... you get long queues aswell as the park is too small to soak up the crowds it attracts. Staff are generally really friendly though and most will go out of there way to give you a good day out.
downside to chessie is that it has a lack of thrill rides but its not intended to have then anymore. queues are much smaller (but not small) as the place is family orientated and most people wouild rather go up the road to thorpe. Again, its tussauds so the staff are great.
Ide say goto thorpe but it depends what you like. And chavs are gaurunteed to ruin your day.
american adventure is as good as closed. they are removing alot of rides this year including the missile, sky coaster and nightmare niagra... (or possibly the rapids, i forget)
That was the name of the ride i was trying to remember, the missile, that's gone already on their recent map. Was a good ride I think. Sky coaster has gone too. Couldn't they afford to keep it running/
no.. the park is run by a bunch of idiots that dont really care. they are making it into a kiddie park which will fail misserably, just like the park already has. the good old days were in the early 90s.
