I decided there were no distribution blocks available that met my requirements.. so I made some!

I also decided to make some battery terminals. They were quite easy.

All my own work apart from the '+' and '-' which were done by a local company. Not got the gear to machine like that YET!

All stainless too! Working on the pos battery terminal now.

They all started life as a block like this:

did you machine from one block or fabricate?

certainly look impressive, not sure how the hell you'll keep them clean! lol

The neg terminal was fabricated from 4 bits. The others are solid.

you are a very clever bloke tom, those look great and i am sure they perform just as impressive :)

yes i know im stupid but in my naive little world i have no clue what they are for other then to look pretty!!! good work(whatever it is)!!

High performance, possibly not so light weight lol! :) Those must weigh a ton! Also a lump of stainless billet like that isn't cheap!

Did you tig or arc weld it tom?

Looks like u've made a nice job of it all...

Ben.

Not really, arc welding uses a fluxed rod to create the arc and the rod melts into the weld.

TIG uses a tungsten electrode to create an electric arc inside an argon shield. You then use a seperate filler rod. TIG is more like gas welding in its technique.

Yes, they are TIGd, they are not that heavy and didn't cost me THAT much. Less than buying dizzy blocks from a shop.

yea but stick mig and tig are all classed as arc welding. so when u are refering to arc are u meaning mig?
