Styling Third Brake Light

I have just received the nice little hardback book that fiat produced about the Barchetta. This volume was produced in February 1995.
I have attached a picture of what must have been a third brake light option that Fiat must have considered. I wonder why they didnt go with this? Although I quite like the current set-up, I would have prefered this one

Its the engine parts that really do it for me Adjustable cam gears.... forged pistons, T3 Turbo charger

Whats the problem with the 1.9? is it the one with 140bhp or 118?
second one is a bit more reliable, not that the first one isnt!
Prob with both is that the Z3 is heavy so our Bs kick ass
I wont even go into details about looks..

I think he is norwo-hungarian though... makes it even worse!

PS: Robot, just to make sure no war brakes out, we are kidding.

The 1.9 is very slow for a sports convertable and as you say the Barchetta is much lighter and more nimble and quicker than the 1.9 Z3.

I too have this book...and also not a scanner... who says this is the 21st Century.

Book is safely tucked away and like all books should not be placed open for long periods.* This one looks particularly delicate if treated in such a manner and would ruin the ‘feel’ of it so to speak.

off topic...but... talking of delicate things… [Boast mode]…what am I supposed to do with the attached. :chin:

Was having a good rummage around in my barchetta box of goodies and found this which i bought a while back and had foggoten about.

Its a third brake light from the new model series of Mx5 but think it looks rather good on the B too.

Will need repainting mind you as its not the right colour.

What do you think.

But i can, it will just sit behind the gap as close to the rear hood as posible.
