My car has had a dodgy throttle response since I fitted a new MAF a couple of weeks ago after a diagnostic test revealed this at fault. I checked through my service history and found that it's had a new potentiometer about 4 years ago so i'm starting to think it might be that at fault again :(

It's not so terrible that it's undrivable, it's just that when I push the accerator on hardish there's a slight delay and then there's no 'in between', it's just ON. If I push it on slowly however it is fine.

I'm thinking a bit of a clean might help? I know the MAF is just before that though so maybe it got knocked or something when I replaced it? It's a 2.0 Marea 155 btw for those who don't know.

Cheers in advance.

if it was potentiometer it would throw the injector light up

Has the screw under the accelerator pedal been fiddled with??

If so, that makes the potentiometer go off its scale and after that it doesnt work properly apparently, thats what I was told when I fiddled with the gold screw under the accelerator on my old car :-s
