The waiting game?

The waiting game?

Hmm. Still seems too long to me. Especially if the car has been there for a while anyway.

Not wanting to get you paranoid but make sure you give it a damn good check over before accepting it. delays at the docks can often mean damage. Not always but it is something to bear in mind.

Edit: Or they are trying to play safe and under promise. That way they have no need to rush about like idiots and potentially **** somethig else up.

I must admit that it had crossed my mind that it may have been damaged in transit hence the long wait at Portbury.
Who knows if they are trying to play it safe with the estimated arrival, could be I will get the "we pulled out all the stops to get it here" bullshit from them.
Anyhow when I do receive the call to say its at the dealers I will take my mate Alan (is manager at a bodyshop/paintspraying place in Dundee) along with me the same day I get the call to check it out to be sure. He will defo spot anything untoward and will be peace of mind for me.

Not that I can think of. Just check what you sign. If they need you to sign another order form make them explain why. Only reason that would happen is if the order has changed between the last one you signed and collection.

Also let him know your salesman know your expecting his call in 2 days after you collect it. Fiat protocall to follow up on delivery by the supplying dealership in the event theres an issue. Gives you a couple days to find out f there are any issues. I.E the car or the paper work.

They have a handover area at the side of the showroom where the main door is. If you enter that way you can leave your mate plenty time to inspect while you do the paperwork.

Just a thought Stewart on the possibility that it could have been damaged in transit.
Surely under the "sale of goods act" they would be required to tell me the goods had been repaired and technically not new?
Might call my Unions lawyers on Monday and see what they say, best bit of that is its free.

Minor damage is not usually reported to the dealership. I believe cars have exemption clauses regards what constitutes brand new. I've seen cars that clearly had some work done but nothing had been reported. Cataloy stoor in the boot and such things. To be fair though. If it's minor damage and it's repaired to an acceptable standard I don't see a problem. But thats me. Anything badly damaged would go through a different procedure and I'm assuming would not be sellable as brand new.

You are really just a font of knowledge mate. O :)
Wasted on mortals like me.
Any other hidden talents I should know about?

From what I know of popular folk-lore - "The Beast" only discloses it's hidden talents to the ladies - hence they remain hidden from us mortal men, and rightly so they should ;)

Well I just had my salesman call me, no my car isn't there yet.
Asked how I was etc etc, full of pleasantries.
Said he will call me when the car arrives. I told him I would be coming to inspect the car when it does arrive and he said that will be no problem at all. Never let on that my mate will be joining me. :)
Wonder why he called eh?
Someone put their boot up his arse I suspect.

I can tell you exactly what happened.

he has been left to deal with it. Then he will have done something to have upset Daryl, who will then asked him if he is upto date on his phonecalls.

honestly some times that business is so explanable it's not real. I can even picture what he was doing. Skiving.

I must admit my arse is starting to twitch a bit a D-Day looms closer (only 2 days hopefully).
My Mrs was winding me up saying she had a dream that she saw me being dragged out of AC by the police (hope she was joking) :(
