Yes there is!

Classifieds keeps things orgainised but if someone reads through my thread sees things they like and want to buy. How would they know that they are for sale without checking the classifieds every day.

stop moaning an just count yourself lucky that classifieds are free to all don't have to pay to be a paid member or pay an ad fee like a lot of places. if people are reading your thread they can see your sig that says check out my bits in classifieds

Yeah the classifieds are free but at the end of the day I am doing the forum/members a bit of a favour as I know 99% of the stuff I will sell will go straight away on ebay but leaving it on here is easy and benefits the forum.

but its all in your sig, you asked how will people know you are selling it if its not in your thread, but it is, leaving it here benefits you more as you don't have to pay listing an final value fees

Why not encourage members to sell on here by allowing them links to their classifieds in posts they make in relevant threads then?

because people then reply to them posts in the thread and who thread turns into a for sale or wanted thread, not what people want to read,
