The quick question thread

There is some sort of clear gel/putty tyoe thing that is malleable enough to form into an ear shape, but has enough tensile strength to not fall apart when you try to take it out. I used it when I was a toddler. I have only one problem with it....I can't remember the name of the product :bang: Sorry...

Will the ear plugs you can wear for swimming fit a toddler?

They say "one size" but I'm a bit dubious.

Anyone ever tried them n their toddler's ears?

My little lad has just gotten over the worst ear infection in the history of mankind, and the Mrs is taking him swimming at Alton Towers hotel tomorrow. I don't want his ears to get irritated.

Cheers

ear infections are horrible, worse for little kiddies :(
i would say you are better getting proper kiddie ones,i doubt the generic ones would work well

how about?

these are cheaper and would probably do

Bit of a silly question, I need to send a email to someone saying I cant make a meeting.

Email says.

All apologies and items for the agenda to me please not later than 6pm on Monday 1st.

What is needed in the email?

Would something like.

Hi xxx, please expect my apologies for the meeting on xxx, as I have family commitments.

Kier

Like that OK?

Mum says she would rather see me do the car from the top down, strip it out do the body and paint it, then drop the engine back in and fix it up like that. I don't know, it's already taking longer than I wanted it too and with the parents going away for 4 weeks soon that's even less progress. Should I?

IMHO (this is what I am doing) make the car roadworthy, enjoy it, and save up. When you have enough money to justify do the job properly, drag it off the road and get it done. Then you will have your memories of driving down your favourite stretch of road to get you through the hard moments ;)

been having a few problems with the alternator/battery/charging system on the MG. Think it's sorted now, but it was running at 13.91V at the battery when running but was slowly going down by 0.01 every few minutes. Is this anything to worry about? or just the reduction due to the battery getting full charge and so less demand on alternator?

once switched off and after a few minutes it's reading 12.6 at the battery. which is near enough fully charged isn't it?

Front subframe?

Brava subframe was about £400 new for a pattern part last year (n)

Ah, subframe, that'd make sence. Ta very much for that. No thanks button :(

Why did you need a new one for Brava, do they rust away eventually?

Pattern is none Fiat stamped isn't it. Ouch.

Might look into scrappys.

Next question of the day, Panda, 500 and new Ka (think its the Ka) all have the same chasis don't they. Would they all have the same subframe?

Also, assuming not, would all Panda's (2wd) have the same subframe regardless of engine size / spec etc

Scrap yards will be cheaper - but you never know what your getting :(
