They will be back on site soon so gonna talk to him then. They can choose the easy way or the hard way :)

Haha the bloke who reversed in to me chose the hard way :)

Let's just say its a bad idea to crash in to someones car then a month later park your car in the car park of the pub that the person drinks in:devil:

Oh how I had fun that night :D

why aren't all cars in the uk electricity limited to 70mph:confused:

If you think about it speed limiting cars to such small speeds can cause problems, like what if you need to gun it to avoid an accident since braking hard will result in wheel lock and crashing anyway? I don't understand why cars aren't limited either (90mph, say) since you think it'd solve a lot of high speed collisions.

why aren't all cars in the uk electricity limited to 70mph:confused:

theres always the argument of needing extra speed for overtake maneuver etc
then theres the fact we are part of Europe and have fairly easy access to many speed limit/driving laws
plus you would shut down the whole track day/speed run industry in one move

eventually i expect technology will allow big brother to control cars speeds dependent on the area so off the highway it would be unlimited

It's not that he wants government control but really having speed limiters would stop stupid people from doing stupid things. The level of stupid of a driver is calculated by

(S * V * C)/0.5

Where S is the stupidity level of the driver, V is the velocity of the car, and C is the multiplier if the driver is a chav.

Seriously most people don't exceed those really high speed limits but every now and then someone will race past you doing nearly twice your speed and its just so dangerous to everyone around them.

And they take the risks that come along with it. You cant do something so extreme because of a minority and its taking away peoples decision making ability as well.

If you introduce them in towns though they will eventually expand to everywhere. Government wont do it anyway as they would loose too much money in speeding fines.

Well the Nissan GTR (jap ones) are limited to 115mph I believe but the Sat Nav's have all the big race circuits etc programmed into the Sat Nav's and deactivates it for the Track.

Still I believe it should be left up to the vehicle owner to obey speed limits and let the law and punishment deal with those who regularly flaunt it.
