Is it true that Diesel Engines that have done more than 80k miles are better and show more true economy than those that have done less than 40K?
Just that ive seen a Ford Focus 1.8D GHIA at 83k on a 57plate for £6k, or a 1.8D Focus for £8k thats done 39k miles on a 57.

Depends, if that's 83k miles of stop start traffic around town and poorly serviced I highly doubt it. There's more to it than just the number of miles...

lol well the one i was looking at was the 1.3 flight so is that not the one to go for? There is a 1.25 zetec somewhere near me aswell..probably gonna go see both tbh
The zetec is the far better engine . Faster quieter and just better. The 1.3 will have retro ford tapping and be a lot slower . 1.25 zetec =75bhp . 1.3 = 63Bhp or summit close

Hate to tell you, but nothing will be. I enjoyed driving a Ford Ka today, simply because it wasn't a Xsara Diesel.
