Hi Tom,

I'm not sure how things are in Germany, but in the UK quoting your reg and vin on an open forum isn't really possible. It leaves the car wide open to cloning and we know for a fact that there are some unsavoury elements that browse this (and other) forums looking for such info.

The reg date alone would be better I think.

There is a 1981 in Ireland and an older one owned by one of the members here.

:) Hi together!

I am very sorry about my vin - mistake -

Thank you for the correction in my thread !
(@ nuovapanda, steven, Alan.D)

Indeed we don't have a similar problem here.

But about the oldest Panda !!! My respect :)

1981 + 1982 model are real rare things :)

I'll report about this in our german forum.

:) Regards Tom

P.S. I myself have only 141 - 4x4 models - actual 3 of them

__ By the way - which is the oldest 4x4 ?

Hmmm i'm confused now tom! Your 1986 4x4 has mk1 everything i can see (doors, sills, tailgate, lights, grill etc), except it has the rear wheel arch moulds from a mk2  Is that something you've done or was that another stage between mk1 and mk2?
Also, dare i say it, i have the oldest Mk1 panda 4x4 in britain!

Cheers
Si

Also, with the engine, ive just noticed that the carb isnt the twin auto choke they fitted to the 4x4. Is it still the 965cc engine? Cos my carb is so problematic i would love to know if there is another option to the 32 DATR weber.

Cheers

Well... my pics about my second (in age) 4x4 Panda have been an

addition to this thread. I'd love to see if the right person - which could

obviously only be 'pandamonius_maximus' - would take the honour to

open the thread about the oldest Panda 4x4 - would you ???
(Hopefully with international candidates (y) )

:) Regards Tom

P.S. Swansea is known to me as a place of good friends of mine ... to bee continued ...

my 'youngster':

I fear it would be a very empty thread on the oldest Panda 4x4! So far i have the only one, but perhaps i could log it down for any future members to find. :)
Also, you say you have friends in Swansea? Is that in the city/town or just in swansea district? Perhaps if your up there at any point, could meet up! Swansea is of course right next to the gower, which is one of the reasons i decided to go to swansea university, and the people are generally friendly. Do you have your panda here in the UK? Would be interested to see your "yougster" lol, not many pandas in wales really. A few marbellas though. Which is a shame as i have no one else arround who understands why i like these little cars so much!
Anyway, i ramble on! Might start the thread oldest 4x4 just in case there is a lurker on the site :D
